Unlike dental insurance, an in-house discount plan involves an annual payment that completely covers two cleanings and necessary X-rays, but it also comes with two fluoride treatments and one emergency exam, if needed, at no extra cost. It also comes with a flat discount on all other services. It\u2019s as simple as that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benefits of Discount Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While dental insurance can be painfully complicated and confusing, discount plans tend to be much more straightforward. No claims to fill out, no deductibles, no yearly maximums, no waiting periods\u2014just essential preventive care with some help for other work you may need or want. In-house savings plans offer discounts on services that are otherwise not covered by insurance, including cosmetic procedures. Instead of paying full price for veneers, you can keep 15 percent of the cost thanks to the discount plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disadvantages of Discount Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In-house discount plans can only be used in that one practice, which typically isn\u2019t a big problem when you love the practice you visit, but this means that the plan is non-transferrable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, regardless of whether you use dental insurance or opt for the practice\u2019s discount plan, you\u2019re making a smart investment in your oral health and in your smile\u2019s future.
